Long Time.....No Post

I'm sorry it's been so long since I wrote on here. We decided to change internet providers and a simple thing like that ended up taking about 10 days, which we were totally without internet. Anyway we are back up and running so expect a few more posts soon.

Friday was the annual "sweep the tombs of your ancestors day" and also a day off school. We had decided to visit a local park for a bit of relaxation, unfortunately it rained(for the first time this year) and so we went yesterday instead. The park was really beautiful and clean, and there were some very nice features.

With it being a holiday weekend the place was overflowing with people. This would probably be nothing more than a mild inconvenience if it were back home. But unfortunately the Chinese peoples interest in Tabs is huge and so we were always being stopped by people who wanted to hold her and have a picture taken with her. It was like we were part of the park.

We try to be as polite as possible in these situations, as we understand that seeing a white baby is a big thing for most Chinese people as there aren't that many around. But after a while we just had to start being a bit rude as it got a bit too much.

We know that the Chinese people mean well, and everyone that we have met have really welcomed us to their country but sometimes the amount of people can be a bit overwhelming. We are thinking that maybe in the upcoming May holiday we will try and get out of the city a bit.
