Breaking the Rules

Last weekend my teacher had to travel 10 hours by train to her hometown for an exam, she did the exam and came straight back. She found out later that week that she passed the exam and so would have to go back the following weekend for a medical exam, and then the weekend after for a practical exam. She was not to chuffed by the idea of all of those hours on the train.

The funny thing was that instead of conceding the fact that she was going to have to do all that traveling she was on the phone to her Mum asking her mum to find someone that looked like her to go in for the medical on her behalf!! And this is totally normal.

The mentality out here is: It's only wrong to break the rules if you get caught.

This is why there are loads of corruption problems here, and are likely to be for a long time, it's built into the way of thinking.
